Your Biostimulators Training Curriculum
One academy day combines theory across PLLA, PCA, PN and CaHA with a live PLLA demonstration and supervised PLLA practice. Learn how to assess clients, plan treatments and approach biostimulators beyond a single product.
Regenerative aesthetics & biostimulator categories
Explore collagen stimulation, skin remodelling and the differences between biostimulators and traditional dermal fillers. Cover PLLA (Poly-L-Lactic Acid), PCA (polycaprolactone-based treatments), PN (polynucleotides) and CaHA (Calcium Hydroxylapatite), with an emphasis on treatment principles beyond individual brands.
Facial assessment & treatment selection
Develop your understanding of facial assessment, client suitability, contraindications, product selection, treatment areas and individual treatment planning. Consider how different categories fit into a client’s treatment plan.
Product preparation & injection techniques
Cover product preparation, injection techniques, needle and cannula considerations, treatment protocols, product sourcing and professional practice. PLLA is the practical focus of the day.
Nodule prevention & complication awareness
Understand why PLLA nodules can occur and how technique influences risk. Focus on three prevention principles: correct product preparation, appropriate placement and safe treatment technique, alongside complication awareness, pre-treatment advice and aftercare.
PLLA demonstration & supervised practice
Observe a complete tutor demonstration covering consultation, facial assessment, product preparation, treatment planning and injection technique, then complete your own supervised PLLA treatment. Students are encouraged to work on each other. If you cannot or prefer not to receive treatment, you must provide a suitable model.
Assessment & ECPD-accredited certification
Your understanding is assessed throughout the day through theory, treatment planning and your supervised practical treatment. On successful completion, receive your ECPD-accredited Biostimulators Training certificate. Your certificate supports obtaining appropriate professional treatment insurance. Confirm cover with your chosen insurer before offering treatments.
